With intelligent 4-stage charging, automatic 12V/24V detection, rapid heat dissipation, and comprehensive protection, it’s a reliable, high-performance heart for any RV, marine, or off-grid solar system.
Class-Leading MPPT Efficiency
Advanced Maximum Power Point Tracking harnesses every bit of available sunlight for optimal charging, with tracking efficiency up to 99% and peak conversion efficiency of 98%. The 40A output handles up to 520W of solar on a 12V system, or a substantial 1040W on 24V.
Intelligent 4-Stage Charging
Bulk, Boost, Float, and Equalization stages ensure rapid, safe, and complete charging that extends battery life. The controller monitors battery status in real time and protects against overcharge and over-discharge.
Wide Battery Compatibility & Lithium Activation
Compatible with AGM, Gel, Flooded, Sealed lead-acid, Lithium (LiFePO4), and User-defined batteries. Automatic 12V/24V detection works for lead-acid types, while lithium voltage is set manually. The built-in lithium activation feature can revive deeply discharged LiFePO4 batteries that have tripped their BMS protection.
Full Electronic Protection
Self-diagnosing protection guards against reverse polarity, overcharging, over-discharging, overload, short-circuiting, overvoltage, over-temperature, and reverse current — with clear on-screen error codes for fast troubleshooting.
Included BT-2 Bluetooth Monitoring
The bundled Renogy BT-2 Bluetooth module connects to the controller’s RS485 port, letting you monitor live performance and adjust battery parameters remotely through the Renogy DC Home app on your smartphone or tablet. The built-in LCD and four LED indicators also display live system data, charging status, and error codes on the unit itself. A DC load terminal (≤20A) supports timer and automatic load control.

Important Setup Note
Connect the controller to the battery first, then set the correct battery type using the arrow keys before connecting solar. Keep PV open-circuit voltage below 100V. The IP32 enclosure is for dry, protected indoor installation. Make sure the controller is powered on before pairing the BT-2 module.
